A Fun Alternative Cardio Exercise

When I was a kid we had a big trampoline and all of us kids (and the adults) used to play on it all the time. Talk about a great way to get people exercising! A trampoline is a lot of fun but it can also be a great workout. It helps with your balance and your overall strength along with burning a lot of calories.

Be Safe

As much fun as a trampoline can be, they can also be dangerous. In particular, larger trampolines can be quite dangerous. When I was a kid one of my friends broke his arm when he fell off the trampoline and really a much worse injury could occur. You have to be careful when doing a trampoline workout.

Not A Good Workout For Those With Bad Knees

I’ve written some articles about good low impact cardio exercises such as using an elliptical machine or a stationary bike. A trampoline workout is definitely not a low impact workout! It can be quite hard on the joints. It’s really best suited to those who are already in decent shape who want to get a good workout.

Not A Good Workout For The Considerably Overweight

If you are more than 30 or 40 pounds overweight then you probably should choose another option. A trampoline workout is not a good choice for those of you who are considerably overweight. Instead choose a low impact exercise machine such as an elliptical machine, a ski machine, or a stationary bike.
