The Biggest Loser Club – Can You Be a Big Loser Too?

The biggest loser is a reality based TV show that became a world wide phenomenon. The premise behind the show was to showcase obese and over weight contestants competing against one another to achieve a physical transformation. Each week the contestants were presented with challenges or a test of will power. For example: If the contestant would eat something sweet but extremely high in calorie they would be able to contact a loved one. Or a prize would be offered if they ate a giant slice of cake. It all came down to temptation and who could over come it.

If you had ever bothered to watch any of the seasons of the biggest loser then you would know who Bob Harper is. For those of you who don’t Bob Harper is the fitness trainer that appears on the reality TV show in order to motivate the contestants to work harder with strength and aerobic training. One of the major benefits of being a member of the Biggest Loser Club is the fact that you can directly connect with Bob Harper through message board, and a question & answer process. However, be warned that even though you do attempt to connect with him he may or may not respond. It’s not always as direct as most may hope for.

We now know what the Biggest Loser is and who Bob Harper is but what does this have to do with you and your weight loss? The Biggest Loser Club is an online version of the hit reality TV show. The program provides access to meal plans and workout routines that are used by the contestants of the show. Each plan is specifically customized to suit your preferences.

The purpose behind the Biggest Loser club is not just to showcase its self as another weight loss program on the web. What it truly tries to provide is an inspirational approach, challenging the contestants and its users bringing them face to face with their fears and shortcomings. For some this may be frightening, others may push through the fact is that the techniques implied by the Biggest Loser do work. If you don’t want to take my word for it simply turn on the show and see the incredible transformations that the contestants undergo. Strength trainings and aerobic exercise play a major role when using this program.

The diet plans the programs use are based on the basic food groups and example would be. (Breakfast: 1 dairy, 2 fruit, 1 grain. Lunch: 2 vegetable, 1 sauce, 2 grain, 1 protein) Users of the program may also pick specific food types from these food groups. (Protein: skinless chicken breast, Vegetable: 2 cups carrots, Sauce: 1 table spoon of cream cheese, Fruit: 3 slices of apple, Grain: 1 slice of whole wheat bread.)

The only negative I’ve been able to factor in to this program is that the calorie count is a bit low especially since there is a workout routine involved as well. However, maybe they have figured out something the normal dietitian didn’t know because results speak for themselves. In the motivational department The Biggest Loser Club is ahead of the line. The plan encourages its users to go all the way and achieve their goals. The current charge of the Biggest Loser Club runs about 5 dollars per week and can be changed depending of special circumstances.

I recommend this program because it has proven results and actually go above and beyond the normal fad diet and push you to stick with it. It helps with the mindset of its user that most weight loss programs fail to or feel they don’t need to provide which is one of the major reasons a high percentage of people who use the fad weight loss diets usually fail or give up.
