I Am Sick Of All This Rubbish Regarding Diets

There are only three things that make life worth living and they are:

1 SEX

2 FOOD

3 DRINK

Everything else is just a means to these ends.

If you listen to the know alls who are trying to convince everyone that most of number 2 and 3 are bad for your heath you will have a pretty miserable existence. The only reason these people exist is by making money from the idiots who believe everything they say. Until now I have not seen anyone trying to expound the theory that SEX is bad for you or will cause you to have belly flab etc. But it will happen believe me.

Food is a basic requirement of all humans and like it or not we are carnivores. Whoever was the first person to start convincing people to be vegetarians would have made a good sand salesman in the Sahara.

Eating is not only a necessity but can and should be a great pleasure. Do not let anyone spoil it by convincing you to count every calorie, check for carbohydrates etc.etc. You do NOT need to deprive yourself of all the great varieties of food available, what a miserable existence that would be. You only get one life and it’s a pretty short one at that so enjoy! I have known plenty of people who have lived a spartan existence regarding food and died at a relatively young age no doubt brought on by the stress of counting every calorie! On the other hand there are those who eat to excess and become obese, this gives the opportunity for those looking to make a quick buck to set up some fancy diet plan.

No human or animal can survive without drink, the poor animals have no choice but to drink water. We humans however have a fantastic choice, fine wines, exotic cocktails, numerous beers, juices etc.etc. The tragedy is that so many cannot control their drinking and instead of enjoying it they use it as a means of obliterating some problem or other. This is the ideal opportunity for someone to exploit their predicament and set up a drying out or rehab center.

So am I saying eat drink and be merry, (forget the rest) YES I am to a degree but NOT to excess. As all things in life moderation is the key. Excess in food will lead to obesity, excess in drink will turn you into a drunkard. I don’t think excess matters regarding number one!!!

The problem is what exactly is EXCESS. To some men for instance three pints of beer could be enough to make them drunk, while others could drink double that with no problem. The same goes for food, my son in law can eat double what I can with no problem. It is up to the individual to find this out through experience.

I realize that there are many of you who do have problems with body fat even though you are not eating to excess, however I would still not recommend going on a diet. Even though I have said yes to eat drink and be merry, like all good things there is a downside and that is you have to exercise. The problem is not many know how to exercise in the proper manner. It’s no good just going to the local gym and pumping a few weights or jogging round the block now and then. This is where you do need professional help.

While browsing on the net I came across a book that I thought was brilliant. It covers all aspects of eating healthily and at the same time encouraging you to enjoy your food, NOT dieting. As for exercising it explains in detail how best to set up a program that will keep you in great shape permanently without flogging yourself to death.
