Fitness and weight loss are the need of the hour. With our ever so busy lifestyles, it’s our health that is at the receiving end, most of the time. Irregular working hours and unhealthy eating habits also cause unwarranted weight loss. The least we can do is to plan a fruitful workout pattern with the guidance of a personal trainer, in an attempt to undo the daily damage and shed those extra pounds in the process. This should basically be done with the aim of wholesome goodness for our health, making it strong enough to encounter the daily trials and tribulations it’s subjected to.

The first and the most obvious issue which puzzles you is whether there are specific exercises for reducing fat from different parts of the body? We are all aware of equipments which are dedicated to toning and developing different body parts. But your personal trainer will tell you that muscle and fat are two different things and definite equipments will not do much to reduce the fat accumulated in that particular area. In order to lose weight from any body part, you need to have a holistic approach. Exercises or equipments which work on your entire body will eventually help in achieving the desired shape you have been aiming for.

The next question you need to ask is the frequency of your professional workout sessions. This would entirely depend on the money you are ready to shell out, how much time you have and how motivated you are. Initially you would need two consecutive sessions for the personal trainer to get acquainted to your health patterns. After this, you only need frequent sessions if your motivation is low. Otherwise, occasional sessions are enough.

The next thing you would want to know is whether the particular exercise pattern chosen by you would cause any of your muscles to bulge making you look like a bodybuilder. That’s a serious issue. However, if you are a woman you will have very low levels of hormones which actually promote muscle growth. Your personal trainer will tell you, that unless you are really on a muscle building diet and are doing too little of cardio-vascular exercises, there are no chances for you to bulge up. A simple response to this question would therefore be a straight and direct “no”.

The following query is, what should you be eating to complement your exercise regime? Unless your trainer is also a qualified dietitian he or she will not be able to guide you on a specific diet plan, calculating the calories you intake to perfection. At best, they can give you basic guidelines on which food items to avoid etc. You can ask them to refer you to a trained dietitian for the same. Expert guidance will prove helpful in achieving the desired results.

Last of all, you need to know, how many times a week to actually exercise. Your personal trainer will tell you that this number will be determined by the goals you set for yourself in the given time frame.
