There are a lot of fitness programs on the market that may lead people to become skeptical by the claims they give in trying their product. There is a fitness product on the market that does exactly what it says it will do and that product is P90X. It says you will get ripped in ninety days and if you carefully follow the plan you definitely will.
The P9oX plan is distributed by Beachbody, a Los Angeles centered organization that focuses on at-home exercise routines that provide various amounts of fitness levels. At this current time P90X is the most demanding fitness program presented by Beachbody. The P90X kit includes a fitness guide, a nutritional plan, and a wallet containing twelve DVD’s and a tablet so you can record your progress.
I have found that not full fitness is complete without doing some pull-ups and was disappointed not to have a pull up bar included in the $ 180.00 kit. I ended up spending an additional $ 75.oo for a doo pull-up bar that is sold by Beachbody. I learned through the P90x program that weightlifters should shun the need to lift heavier because this program stresses doing a lot of reps with little rest in between sets. I particularly like the nutritional section because it gives a very thorough plan and is great for those unaccustomed to eating healthy. Following the nutritional part of the program is essential if the P90x system is to work effectively. After figuring our your nutritional level you are suppose to choose from two fitness paths called the Mal Pan or the Portion Pan. The Mal Pan is for those who have time to eat at regular times throughout the day and who can cook healthy meal. The Portion Pan has a sort of points approach and is for those who do not follow a certain number of meals they eat each day. Both plans have you follow a diet that is divided into three phases which lasts for thirty days. The phases are as follows:
* Phase 1-The Fat Shredder Phase
* Phase 2-The Energy Booster Phase
* Phase 3-The Endurance Maximizer Phase
When starting the first workout it can definitely be challenging, especially for those like me who was out of shape to begin with. The first workout was so much of a challenge that I actually experienced nausea. The exercises are simple enough but it is the amount of times you do it the wear you out. You are even encouraged to do jumping jacks and run in place during water breaks.
The Twelve DVD’s in the kit are broken down in the according to the following exercises:
1. Core Synergistics
2. Ab Ripper X
3. Cardio X
4. Shoulders and Arms
5. Yoga X
6. Chest Shoulders and Triceps
7. Plyometrics
8. Kickboxing
9. Back and Biceps
10. X Stretch
11. Legs and Back
12. The last DVD contains motivational information
I received amazing results using this program as I shed close to ten percent of my body fat and gained a lot of helpful nutritional information. This was a challenge but I would recommend it to those who are serious about getting fit.
