The next phase of the Atkins new diet is the ongoing weight loss phase. During this phase you are allowed to increase your intake of carbohydrates by five grams. During this phase your weight loss will not be as rapid. In the pre-maintenance phase you will be allowed to test some foods to see if you can add them back to your diet without gaining weight.
Finally, when you have reached your target weight, you can go into the maintenance phase of the Atkins new diet. Here you may bring back some good carbohydrates into your diet. You should bring in any bad carbohydrates as these will cause you to gain weight again.
The Atkins new diet is famous for the fact that its participants will eat a lot of meat. They will eat a lot of eggs and other protein foods.
