10 Minute Solution – Pilates

I tried Lara Hudson’s 10 Minute Solution Pilates because of a need of more variety in my workout sessions. This DVD is set up five, ten-minute workouts that were perfect for me because I am pressed for time with my busy schedule so sometime ten minutes at a time is all I can spare. You can also do the workouts together for a total of 50 minutes or put them together in a way that best suits your needs.

The first part of the video targets the abs and I found it great for tightening and strengthening my abs. The second section targets the butts and thighs and the instructor uses a number of dynamic moves in order to reshape the lower body. The third section focuses on the arms and shoulders. The next ten minutes section is a complete body workout that consists of a number of toning and cardio exercises. The last ten-minute section deals with increasing flexibility though out the body.

I started off doing only ten minutes at a time then gradually moved up to 50 minutes when I found the time for it, but I still revert back to doing ten and twenty minutes at a time when I need to. I like the fact that Lara moves from one exercise to the next without all the fluff found in some workout videos, which is exactly what I need when I am crunched for time. I do find, though, when you are trying to perfect a certain technique and you are in a hurry, it really does not benefit you if you are doing the exercise improperly. That is why I recommend watching the workout before hand and practice the moves that you may need to so when you actually do the workouts you will not be slowed down by not knowing how to do a certain move.

This DVD is so perfect for me, Lara Hudson explains the move so you can get the most out of this workout session. I like the fact that the exercises are simple and easy to do but I definitely noticed positive result by using it. When I went to Amazon.com (which it can be purchased from for ($9.98) and read the reviews, which I found mostly positive.

I would recommend this DVD to those who are beginners and need a challenge but for those who have been exercising a while it might get boring quick.
