Don’t Make This Running For Weight Loss Mistake Or You’ll Just Be Wasting Your Time and Effort


Running for weight loss is fine and dandy, but most people make a huge mistake when running that pretty much NEGATES all the effort they put in. Are you one of them… probably!

I’m going to share with you that mistake and show you how you can correct it so you can get the most out of running if your goal is to lose some weight. I’ll show you a way that FORCES your body to burn fat FASTER for up to 18 hours AFTER your workout.

I’ll even give you a bonus “TRICK” that you can do during your runs that helps you to burn up to 30% more calories during the run.

Running For Weight Loss Mistake

Running at the same speed and same intensity for the whole run.

Everyone does it, but it’s a huge mistake because it’s a very time consuming and inefficient way to burn calories. Instead, do HIIT… high intensity interval training. Basically, you do intervals of high speed and high intensity exercise (running, stair-stepper, etc) and follow it up with intervals of slow and low intensity intervals.

Here’s an example for running… say you’re going to run for 20 minutes. Ok, now to make use of HIIT you’d use this sequence…

You’d run fast for 10-15 seconds. Follow that up by walking or jogging really slow for 25-30 seconds. And, you keep repeating that over and over until the 20 minutes is up.

This forces your body into burning fat off your body at an accelerated rate for up to 18 hours. This is called the “AFTERBURN EFFECT”. You don’t get that jogging at the same speed the whole time.

Now, an added bonus trick. Simply take 1-2 deep breaths every minute you’re doing cardio… whether it’s running, jogging, walking, stair-stepper, elliptical… whatever. The added oxygen from the deep breaths causes an OXIDATION of body fat. It burns more fat… up to 30% more.

So basically, just avoid that “steady-state” running for weight loss mistake or you’ll be wasting your time and effort… and don’t forget to do the deep breathing while doing cardio.
